Michael Jacobson Interview with Hamed Assabir

Hamed Assabir is a member of the Amazigh ethnic group (sometimes called Berbers) that has lived in North Africa for over five thousand years. Hamed lives with his extended family in a small Moroccan village in the High Atlas Mountains south of Marrakech. He spends half his time guiding tours around his country. We met Hamed in Casablanca and traveled through much of the country with him. In this video, Hamed talks about the food and lifestyle in his village, as well as in urban Morocco.
